If you had to start Titans TE Chig Okonkwo in Week 5 -- or even if you just see his PPR score on your bench -- then you're probably pleased with his 4-48 receiving line. That marked a rebound from his 1-catch Week 4 and gives him three games of 4+ catches among the past four weeks. Those aren't big numbers, but they're solid for a TE whose rookie QB has completed just 51.8% of his passes through five weeks. But Sunday also featured a negative development for Okonkwo's fantasy outlook: the emergence of rookie TE Gunnar Helm.
Helm matched Okonkwo in targets (five) and receptions (4) and edged his veteran in playing time. Check out the weekly details for each guy so far:

Okonkwo still edged Helm in pass routes vs. the Cardinals but slipped behind the rookie in overall playing time. And Okonkwo ran a route on just 59.5% of Cam Ward's dropbacks, in a game that found the Titans chasing desperately in the fourth quarter.
That's too close to Okonkwo's 57.6% route rate from last year, which ranked 26th among TEs for the season and kept him largely fantasy-irrelevant.
We'll see where both players go from here. But the Tennessee pass offense is nowhere near good enough to support meaningful fantasy value for either guy if their route shares are close.
Helm's an interesting dynasty stash as a fourth-round rookie already seeing solid involvement.
Okonkwo's in the final year of his rookie contract and doesn't seem like a strong bet to re-sign. And Tennessee's passing game is bound to get better. Even if Cam Ward were to wind up a bust, the Titans would likely move on.
