The Bills have ruled S Taylor Rapp out for Sunday's game at Carolina. His injury situation this week seemed a bit surprising after Rapp played 96% of the snaps in the Week 6 loss to Atlanta and then got a bye week. But it's apparently not a new issue.
What They're Saying
HC Sean McDermott on Wednesday: "At this point, I don't know, on Taylor, if that's a day to day or week to week type of situation. We are still gathering information on that. ... He's been dealing with it since training camp."
McDermott on the insurance plan: "Jordan [Poyer] wouldn't be back if we didn't have a log of confidence and trust in him. ... We have other safeties that have been working as well."

Poyer operated as the third safety in the loss to Atlanta and seems likeliest to take Rapp's spot. Cam Lewis also played in that game, though, and has filled in at multiple DB spots for the Bills in the past -- safety and corner.
S Sam Franklin was also active for the Atlanta game but appeared only on special teams.
You can probably find better options than Bills backups for your DB spots in most IDP leagues. But if you're looking here for a Rapp replacement, Poyer looks like the best bet beyond starter Cole Bishop.
We'll watch for confirmation on the starting plan, as well as more updates on Rapp's outlook beyond Week 8.
