The Giants have announced that QB Jaxson Dart remains in the concussion protocol and will not play Sunday against the Lions. That'll mean a second straight start for Jameis Winston.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Winston saw his first Giants action last week against the Packers. He went 19-of-29 passing (65.5% completions) for 201 yards, with no TDs and 1 INT.
This week presents a tougher pass defense, by the numbers. Detroit ranks fourth in pass DVOA -- compared with Green Bay's 13th -- and has allowed the eighth-fewest passing yards per game.
But the Lions also sit as a slightly positive scoring matchup for QBs by our adjusted fantasy points allowed, ranking 14th in that category as opposed to the Packers' 22nd.
The Giants sat as 10.5-point underdogs for the road contest as of Friday morning, which points to likely elevated passing volume. That's enough to make Winston a potential deep solution if you're in trouble at QB for Week 12.
Just know that he always comes with plenty of downside risk. It would help some if he could get WR Darius Slayton back. (Slayton put in a limited practice Thursday.)

The Giants head to New England in Week 13 before a bye the following week.
