The Bears quietly placed LB Tremaine Edmunds on IR over the weekend, ahead of Sunday's win over the Steelers. That means Edmunds' groin injury will cost him at least three more games.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Edmunds won't be eligible to return until Week 16 at the earliest, and we probably won't know until at least that week how good a chance he'll have of immediately reclaiming his full snap share and/or full effectiveness.
All that makes him an iffy bench stash if you don't have an IR spot for him.
Of course, IDP leagues vary widely. So assess your situation to deem whether keeping Edmunds stashed makes sense.
Chicago also missed LBs T.J. Edwards and Noah Sewell for Sunday's game, leaving D'Marco Jackson as the position's lone full-timer against Pittsburgh. Jackson racked up 15 tackles, though just 5 of those were solos.
Amen Ogbongbemiga ran second and tallied 14 tackles (2 solo) but played just 58% of the snaps. That's not near enough to make him trustable in fantasy lineups, even if Edwards and Sewell remain out for Week 13.
Both players missed all three practices last week and now get a short turnaround before Friday's visit to Philadelphia. We'll keep an eye on them, but Jackson's at least worth a waiver look this week while we wait.
