Best Fantasy Kickers For Fantasy Football 2023
Love or hate them, kickers are a part of some fantasy football leagues.
If you’re reading this, it’s either because:
- You’re stuck paying attention to these players until your commissioner finally caves and gets rid of the position, or
- You’re a big fan of kickers and want to learn more about them.
Either way, we've got you covered. There are even kicker projections in our fantasy football rankings that you can check out if you're looking to dig a little deeper.
But for now, we'll run through some of the best fantasy kickers here.
Let's get started:
The Draft War Room takes our award-winning projections and applies them to your league’s exact rules to create a custom, dynamic cheat sheet.
Best Fantasy Kickers of 2023
Justin Tucker, Ravens
Tucker is the most well-known kicker in football – and for good reason.
The six-time Pro Bowler holds the NFL record for FG percentage (90.5%) and has never finished outside the top 10 in fantasy scoring since entering the league in 2012.
The Ravens aren’t afraid to let Tucker show off his leg, either.
Tucker recorded a career-high 14 attempts of 50+ yards last year, converting nine of them.
One of those was a 66-yard game-winner in Week 3 vs. the Lions that set the NFL record for longest FG.
There's potential for even greater offensive efficiency this season under new OC Todd Monken.
The Ravens ranked 12th in Football Outsiders' offensive DVOA in 2022, and should they improve upon that, Tucker's case for being the best fantasy kicker is even stronger.
Don't hesitate to look his way again this season.
Evan McPherson, Bengals
McPherson burst onto the scene with 9.2 fantasy points per game and a top-10 finish as a rookie in 2021.
Unfortunately, he took a slight dip in production last year, registering only 7.6 fantasy points per game.
Part of that was a nearly 5% dip in his extra point percentage, but we expect him to rebound this season.
Our kicker rankings having him climbing back among the ranks of the best fantasy kickers in 2023.
The Joe Burrow-led Bengals finished fifth in Football Outsiders’ offensive DVOA last season and figure to once again put McPherson in range of the top fantasy kickers.
Tyler Bass, Bills
When it comes to fantasy kickers, high-scoring offenses are better.
The Bills finished last season first in offensive DVOA and fourth in points (455).
There’s no reason to expect the Bills to slow down in 2023. So Bass should be able to continue his three-year streak of top-10 fantasy finishes.
Since turning pro in 2020, Bass ranks fourth in fantasy points among kickers with an 85.6% conversion rate on FG attempts.
He's not as big of a name as someone like Justin Tucker, but he's arguably just as good of a bet in fantasy football.
Look no further than Bass if you want one of the best fantasy kickers tied to perhaps the NFL's most potent offense.

Harrison Butker, Chiefs
Ankle injuries limited Butker to 13 games last season.
But it wasn’t long ago that this Chief was a go-to fantasy kicker.
Between 2017 and 2021, Butker ranked second in fantasy points (711.0) and fourth in FG attempts (162), with a 90.1% FG conversion rate.
There’s no reason to believe the Chiefs will be worse in 2023, and a healthy Butker should be able to re-establish himself as one of the best fantasy kickers this season.
Give him a look late in drafts this summer.
Daniel Carlson, Raiders
If there’s one thing fantasy managers love, it’s volume.
That doesn’t just apply to RBs and WRs.
Since 2020, Carlson has led NFL kickers in FG attempts (115) and fantasy points (473.0), all while ranking third in FG percentage (93.0%) among kickers with at least 20 attempts.
He finished no lower than third among the top fantasy kickers the past three seasons.
While the Raiders' offense carries a ton of question marks with the move to QB Jimmy Garoppolo, and the uncertain future of RB Josh Jacobs, Carlson should manage to find a way to once again be on the short list of the best fantasy kickers.
Other Top Fantasy Kickers:
- Brandon McManus, Jaguars
- Greg Zuerlein, Jets
- Jake Elliott, Eagles
- Cade York, Browns
- Jason Sanders, Dolphins
