After dealing with an undisclosed injury, Chargers WR Ladd McConkey returned to practice on Friday, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic.
Popper: “Ladd McConkey is suited up and in pads today.”
McConkey had been sidelined since July 28th with the mystery ailment, but as Popper mentions, he was back in pads during Friday’s practice. The injury wasn’t ever a concern, likely more of an annoyance than anything else. Still, McConkey was often banged up last year, missing one game with a knee issue, while also dealing with toe, shoulder and hip injuries. The Chargers were likely just exercising caution with their sophomore WR.
Even with the addition of veteran WR Keenan Allen, McConkey projects as a high-end WR2 in fantasy. He checks in as the WR13 in our rankings.
