Quinshon Judkins Won’t Face Formal Charges, Should Report To Team Soon

Cleveland RB Quinshon Judkins will not face formal charges and should return to the team in the near future, according to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz.

        What They're Saying

Schultz: Sources: Browns rookie RB Quinshon Judkins will not face any formal charges, as prosecutors have declined to move forward with the case.

This clears the way for him to return to the team, and I’m told that should likely happen in the near future.”

Update: According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the NFL will continue it's own investigation.

        2025 Fantasy Football Impact

As Schultz points out, this development allows Judkins to report to the team, which is likely to happen soon. However, the NFL could continue to investigate the case, and a suspension remains a possibility.

Judkins is the only rookie in this draft class yet to sign his contract, but once he gets acclimated with the team, he’ll join (and eventually lead) a committee in the Cleveland backfield, with the potential of fully taking over. Still, his extended absence from training camp puts him at a disadvantage. In his absence, rookie RB Dylan Sampson has been seeing plenty of reps, including today when he ran with the first-team offense during joint practice.

If Judkins avoids suspension, he’s the clear RB to target from this offense, though not without risk. A rookie who missed most of the preseason on what projects to be a below average offense isn’t exactly the most enticing scenario.

Upon his return, Judkins will climb the rankings, while Sampson and RB Jerome Ford will fall.
