Saints WR Chris Olave caught 3 of 6 targets for 20 yards and 1 score in Sunday’s loss at Buffalo. He’s now been held under 60 yards in four straight games.
Olave scored on an end zone slant deep in the third quarter. This was a disappointing showing overall, though.
His target share dipped to a just-OK 22.2%. (He entered the day with a 31% team share.) Olave also dropped two passes on short-range targets.
The Saints found success on the ground, which limited opportunities in the passing game. Spencer Rattler attempted a season-low 27 passes. The team also converted only 5 of 15 opportunities on third and fourth downs.
We'll continue to watch for a potential QB change over the next couple of weeks. For now, though, Olave will remain propped up by a healthy volume projection. Next up is a favorable home matchup with the Giants.
