Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker Suffer for Bad Offense

The Raiders got blown out Sunday in a way that should have been good for passing production (or at least volume). But WR Jakobi Meyers managed just 4 receptions for 32 yards on six targets. WR Tre Tucker matched those six targets and 4 catches, totaling 62 yards. They tied TE Albert Okwuegbunam for second on the team in targets, with RB Ashton Jeanty leading the way at seven -- despite sitting out the whole fourth quarter.

        2025 Fantasy Football Impact

We shouldn't overrate one particularly bad offensive outing for the Raiders, and nothing changed in the playing time for either of the team's top two WRs.

According to Pro Football Focus, Meyers and Tucker each played 60 of 68 offensive snaps, only leaving for the team's final possession. Meyers ran a team-high 38 routes, with Tucker just one behind.

No other Raider exceeded 24. And nearly all of Okwuegbunam's targets came after the Colts extended their lead to 40-3 late in the third quarter.

But QB Geno Smith stunk, and this game marked the third time in five contests that he threw for less than 230 yards.

Smith's poor performance is damaging the startability of both WRs, which will only get worse when TE Brock Bowers returns. (He missed Sunday's game to rest his injured knee.)

Could We See a Big Change?

The Raiders falling to 1-4 through five weeks has to increase the chance that Meyers gets dealt. The veteran requested a trade before the season, and his contract runs out at the end of this year.

We can't really factor a potential trade heavily into Meyers' fantasy outlook, especially without knowing what the landing spot would be. But there's upside in the possibility.

Tucker's probably not going anywhere, and he's a fringe option even when things are going better. Smith's struggles make Tucker an unattractive play.

Fortunately, the whole group gets an upside matchup with Tennessee in Week 6.
