Raiders Edge Maxx Crosby left Sunday's blowout loss to Kansas City in the second quarter with knee and back injuries. But neither issue was new, and it doesn't sound like he'll miss further time. Las Vegas gets a Week 8 bye before a home date with the Jaguars.
What They're Saying
HC Pete Carroll: "Maxx has had a bit of a sore knee and I don't know how it happened today in the game, but he wasn't his full self. But he could play and he wanted to be in there and he was. But then we had to yank him because he didn't look right."
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport: "My understanding is this is not a major knee injury. He really is OK. They kinda just wanted to get him off the field and protect him from himself given the score of the game."

The bye seems well-timed for Crosby's sake. We'll see about his practice participation and outlook on the other side of that.
Outside of leaving Sunday's game early, he hasn't showed any ill effects from the physical ailments. Crosby tallied a season-high 3 QB hits -- including 2 sacks -- in the Week 6 win over the Titans.
Week 7 marked the first time this year he has failed to record at least 1 tackle fo loss and the second time he has gone without a QB hit.
