Commanders QB Jayden Daniels suffered a dislocated left elbow in Sunday night's loss to the Seahawks, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Daniels will get an MRI today to determine the extent of the damage and his expected return timeline.
What They're Saying
Rapoport: "The belief is it's not as bad as it could've been. But Daniels will miss several games. ... Though it looked gruesome, there is a chance this is not a season-ending injury. But the MRI will reveal if and when Daniels can return."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
The fact that it's his non-throwing arm probably helps the return chances as well. But we'll see if Daniels actually has a shot at contributing to fantasy lineups again this season.
Marcus Mariota will take over again, with a home date against the Lions and a visit to Miami ahead of Washington's Week 12 bye.
Mariota has logged three starts in place of Daniels this season, posting fantasy finishes of QB6, QB19, and QB19.
Detroit will be coming off allowing a pair of TD passes plus a rushing score to Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy.
Washington gets the No. 11 schedule for QB scoring overall the rest of the way, according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed. The worst spot is easily a Week 13 date with the Broncos.
Mariota should obviously be rostered in all 2-QB and superflex leagues, and he'll make sense in plenty of 1-QB formats.
Other Winners & Losers
The switch from Daniels to Mariota -- for however long it lasts -- is a downgrade for Washington pass catchers.
Mariota has yet to top 213 passing yards in a game this season.
