The Colts are sending two first-round picks to the Jets for CB Sauce Gardner, according to multiple reports.
This one's a little surprising, simply because the Jets just gave Gardner a large, four-year extension in mid-July. But the two first-round picks clearly presented an opportunity the rebuilding franchise couldn't pass up.
An already weak Jets D sheds arguably its best player. The Colts, meanwhile, pick up a 25-year-old under contract through at least 2028 who ranks among the league's top cover men.
