Jets LB Quincy Williams revealed Wednesday that the team has yanked him from the starting lineup.
What They're Saying
Williams, via ESPN's Rich Cimini: "My coaches told me I was underperforming, that I've been underperforming since training camp."
Cimini: "Williams said he's 'not thrilled' with the decision, but he's also 'not mad' because he hopes to win his job back."

We have to assume the Jets are going with Kiko Mauigoa, who filled in when Williams landed on IR earlier this season.
Mauigoa gave way to Williams when the veteran returned in Week 8 to lead Jets LBs in playing time. The rookie's now coming out of the concussion protocol but expected to be ready for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Given this shift, it's odd that the Jets didn't move Williams for something ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. He's in the final year of his contract and still just 29.
Mauigoa has yet to exceed 3 solo tackles in a game this year, so he'll need to prove he's worth any IDP attention.
We'll see whether Williams can achieve his goal of reclaiming a lineup spot. But I've nuked his projections going forward and removed him from the Week 10 IDP Waiver Wire targets.
