Healthy Brock Bowers Set Up for a Career Year in Klint Kubiak's Offense

According to ESPN’s Ryan McFadden, Brock Bowers is fully healthy and set up for a potential career year. He impressed everyone from new QB Kirk Cousins to HC Klint Kubiak during OTAs, with his health and talent on full display. Cousins even compared Bowers to Jordan Reed in Washington, whom he called “arguably their best eligible player there.” Reed led the league in PPR points per game in 2015 (17.6).

        What They're Saying

HC Klint Kubiak: “We've got to get the most out of Brock, he's been successful in college and high school with whoever's coached him. Can't say enough great things about him. Love his work ethic. He is a standard-bearer."

QB Kirk Cousins: "I remember in Washington, [former tight end] Jordan Reed was arguably our best eligible there, and he became kind of the Joker that you were able to use in unique ways, and Brock [Bowers], in a lot of ways, is that,"

ESPN’s Ryan McFadden: “He's fully healthy. Such vigor was noticeable during OTAs and mandatory minicamp. On top of that, Bowers will be playing in an improved offensive system, orchestrated by coach Klint Kubiak, who has shown the ability to scheme the ball to his best pass catchers.”

        2026 Fantasy Football Impact

McFadden noted that Bowers suffered a PCL injury and a bone bruise in his left knee in the Raiders' season-opening win over the Patriots. The injury lingered all season and contributed to a disappointing second year, but Bowers still finished as TE4 in PPR points per game (14.5).

Despite playing through the injury early and being hampered by it late, Bowers still ended last season as TE4 in PPR points per game at 14.5.

Bowers is our TE1 in PPR rankings, and the team's questionable WR depth gives him a shot at a special season that could top his 2024 TE1 finish at 15.5 points per game.
