Aidan Hutchinson Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Lions announced Monday that Edge Aidan Hutchinson had successful surgery on his fractured left tibia and fibula Sunday night in Texas. He's traveling back to Detroit this week with no timeline yet determined for his return to the field. Hutchinson will miss the rest of this season, though. Detroit will need to figure out its edge spots the way. The other season-opening starter, Marcus Davenport, previously landed on season-ending IR. Don't be surprised if the Lions trade for help at the position.

Lions Edge Aidan Hutchinson left in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Cowboys after suffering a serious left leg injury. Replay pretty clearly shows a fracture in the lower leg. We'll see about the damage beyond that. But it seems pretty safe to assume Hutchinson will miss the rest of the season.

Lions EDGE Aidan Hutchinson (illness) is active for today's game against the Jets. Use him as planned in your IDP lineups.

Lions EDGE Aidan Hutchinson (illness) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jets. He missed Thursday’s practice but returned for a limited Friday. We’d bet on Hutchinson playing but will obviously watch for confirmation

Lions EDGE Aidan Hutchinson (thigh) is active for today's game against the Vikings. He barely practiced this week but seems OK for normal IDP lineup usage.

Lions EDGE Aidan Hutchinson is questionable for Sunday's game after missing 2 practices this week with a thigh injury. He did return for a limited Friday workout, though, and said he expects to play against the Vikings. "I'm feeling good; it'll be fine," the rookie said after practice, according to SB Nation's Jeremy Reisman. HC Dan Campbell added that he doesn't mind Hutchinson's missed practice time in preparing for the game. "It's always better to practice, so you get the looks, the live looks. But I'm not concerned because he's mentally -- he's in it," Campbell said. We'll confirm Hutchinson's status Sunday morning.

EDGE Aidan Hutchinson landed with the Lions in the 2022 NFL Draft. Hutchinson topped 60 tackles in each of his 2 full seasons starting at Michigan (among 4 total). He finished with a school-record 14 sacks in his final season. But Hutchinson’s career 0.76 tackles for loss per game ranks just 16th in this edge class. He’s an above-average athlete and hard worker but doesn’t profile as quite a top-shelf pass rusher.
