Titans HC Robert Saleh said Friday that rookie Anthony Hill Jr. will keep the starting MLB job after impressing with his communication and defensive checks while starting in place of Cedric Gray (concussion) in Week 1. According to Jim Wyatt of the team website, Saleh added that "Cedric Gray and Cody Barton have unique skill sets and team is working through options."
Titans LB Cedric Gray has entered the league's concussion protocol after a utility terrain vehicle accident over the weekend. That timing makes the starting LB likely to miss Sunday's opener against the Jets.
The Titans drafted Texas LB Anthony Hill Jr. in the second round Saturday. Hill spent nearly two-and-a-half years starting for the Longhorns and made an impact all three seasons. He proved particularly adept at making plays coming forward, evidenced by his 17 career sacks and 31.5 tackles for loss.
