Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Commanders WR Dyami Brown (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Colts. Cam Sims will continue to operate as the #3 WR behind Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel.
Commanders WR Jahan Datson (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Packers. The rookie re-injured his hamstring in Thursday’s practice and didn’t practice on Friday. With WR Dyami Brown (groin) also out, Cam Sims will operate as Washington’s #3 WR behind Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel.
Commanders WR Jahan Dotson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday night's game vs. the Bears, as expected. We'll see if the rookie can make it back for Week 7. Dotson's absence leaves Curtis Samuel and Terry McLaurin as Washington's clear top 2 WRs. WRs Cam Sims and Dyami Brown figure to split snaps and routes behind them.
Commanders WR Jahan Dotson (hamstring) remained sidelined for Tuesday's practice. He's a long shot to play vs. the Bears on Thursday night. Cam Sims finished 3rd among Washington WRs with a 62% route rate last week, but it was WR Dyami Brown who posted the big 2-TD day. Sims and Brown are only considerations in 1-game DFS contests.
Dyami Brown was the big producer among Commanders WRs in Sunday's loss to the Titans. He caught just 2 passes among 4 targets for the game, but both went for scores -- from 75 and 30 yards out. Brown ranked just 5th among Washington wideouts in playing time, though. Curtis Samuel led the group, and led the team in targets for the 5th straight game. He caught 6 of 8 looks for 62 yards. Terry McLaurin trailed Samuel and J.D. McKissic but posted a solid 5-76 receiving line on his 6 targets.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Commanders are expected to re-sign WR Cam Sims. The 5th-year wideout caught just 15 balls for Washington last season but 32 the year before. Ben Standig of The Athletic said on our podcast earlier this month that HC Ron Rivera has indicated they want to get Sims the ball more going forward. Sims has a ways to go to become fantasy relevant, but he's a free stash across fantasy football formats right now. Sims turned 26 in January.
Washington WRs Curtis Samuel (groin) and Dyami Brown (knee) are out for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. WR Cam Sims (hamstring) is listed as questionable. Terry McLaurin, of course, is the only Washington WR that should be in fantasy lineups.
Washington WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) isn't listed on the final injury report. He was a full-go in Friday's practice and will play his usual role against the Packers this weekend. WRs Curtis Samuel (groin) and Cam Sims (hamstring) are out again for Week 7.
Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. He appears to be looking at another multi-week absence. WR Cam Sims (hamstring) has also been ruled out. WR Dyami Brown (knee) is listed as questionable after a limited week of practice. With WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) also questionable, Adam Humphries, Deandre Carter and Dax Milne are Washington's only healthy WRs. It's obviously a concern for QB Taylor Heinicke.
Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Saints. He only got in a limited practice on Friday after playing just 37% of the offensive snaps last week. He’s not a fantasy option until we know he’s at least close to fully healthy. WRs Dyami Brown (knee) and Cam Sims (hamstring) are out for Week 5.
Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) has been placed on IR. So he'll miss at least the first 3 games of the season with this groin injury that's lingered since spring OTAs. Samuel isn't a must-hold in fantasy leagues without an IR spot. His absence should move rookie WR Dyami Brown into the starting lineup, although Washington might rotate him with WR Cam Sims. Adam Humphries will be the slot receiver.
