Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
The Raiders have ruled LB Jason Brown out for Thursday night's game against Rams with a hand injury. That leaves Denzel Perryman as the only Vegas LB we can trust in IDP lineups.
Raiders LB Denzel Perryman suffered a wrist injury in Thursday's practice that has him questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers. He did still manage a limited practice Friday, so we'd guess Perryman is leaning toward playing. But we'll have to watch his status leading up to Sunday's kickoffs. If Perryman sits, then Jayon Brown would be the favorite to lead Raiders LBs in playing time.
Raiders LB Denzel Perryman (ribs) is active for today's game against the Broncos. His return hurts the chances of LB Jason Brown seeing full playing time.
The Raiders have signed LB Blake Martinez to the active roster from the practice squad and reportedly plan to play him in Monday night's game against the Chiefs. LB Denzel Perryman also might be trending toward a return from the concussion that knocked him out of last week's game. Perryman put in a limited practice Thursday and then returned to full participation Friday. That all makes it tough to know how much LB Divine Deablo will play. He has been the full-timer in Perryman's absence. LB Jayon Brown might be trending toward getting out of the way because of a hamstring injury. After a limited Thursday practice, he missed Friday completely. We'll see about the status of the whole LB crew Saturday.
Raiders LB Denzel Perryman left Sunday's win over the Broncos early with a concussion. He had just returned from the ankle sprain that knocked him out of Week 1 early. We'll see how Perryman progresses through the league protocol. Divine Deablo worked as the corps leader with Perryman out before. Jayon Brown got playing time in the 70-80% range.
Raiders LB Denzel Perryman put in a limited practice Wednesday, the 1st time he has been on the field since leaving the opener with an ankle injury. We'll see just what the LB roles look like if Perryman's ready for game action. Divine Deablo has led the group in snaps the past 3 weeks. Pro Football Focus grades him just 68th, however, among 86 LBs with 45+ snaps played so far. LB Jason Brown checks in 70th, trailing Deablo as the #2 in playing time. Perryman was the every-down LB for last year's Raiders but has an uneven history of use across 3 franchises.
The Raiders have ruled LB Denzel Perryman (ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Titans. It'll be his 2nd straight missed game with the Week 1 injury. Perryman's absence should keep LB Divine Deablo in the lead role and elevate playing time again for LB Jayon Brown. They played 100% and 77% of defensive snaps, respectively, in Week 2. S Trevor Moehrig (hip) is questionable.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Raiders LB Denzel Perryman is considered day-to-day with the ankle injury that knocked him out of Sunday's loss to the Chargers. That puts Perryman in play for Week 2. We'll watch his status through the practice week. Divine Deablo led Vegas LBs in playing time in Perryman's absence, with Jayon Brown trailing.
The Titans have ruled LBs David Long and Rashaan Evans out for Sunday's game against the Patriots. That leaves Jayon Brown and Monty Rice as the starters, with Brown the top choice for IDP lineups.
The Titans have ruled LB David Long (hamstring) out for Sunday's game against the Saints. LB Rashaan Evans (ankle) is questionable but doesn't look like a particularly good bet to play. He followed a limited Wednesday by missing practice Thursday and Friday. No Evans would leave Jayon Brown and rookie Monty Rice as the off-ball LBs. Brown played 70% of the snaps in Sunday night's win over the Rams, his return from a knee sprain that landed him on IR. We're betting that Brown increases that playing time and leads Evans or Rice in that category. He supplied 7 solos last week and should be a solid bet for at least LB3 production vs. New Orleans -- with upside beyond that.
Titans LB Rashaan Evans is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts after popping up on Friday's injury report with an ankle issue that kept him out of practice. That should keep Evans out of IDP lineups even if he's active. The team also designated LB Jayon Brown to return from IR this week. We don't yet know whether he has a chance to play Sunday.
The Titans on Friday placed LB Jayon Brown on IR with a knee injury. He'll miss at least the next 3 games. David Long should be the playing-time leader at the position while Brown is out. He has been the past 3 weeks, with Brown seeing his snaps limited while he dealt with a hamstring injury and then the knee. LB Rashaan Evans, meanwhile, hasn't exceeded 70% snap share since the opener.
Titans ILB Jayon Brown missed Wednesday's practice with a knee injury. A hamstring injury cost Brown Week 2. He was back to full practice by the Friday of Week 3, though, and finished that week off the injury report. But Brown then played only 16% of the snaps against the Colts. Last week found him fully participating in practice every day, but then Brown played just 31% of the snaps vs. the Jets. We haven't seen any specific report yet on this knee issue or explanation of Brown's recent playing time. He can't be used in IDP lineups until we see a return to starter-level playing time. David Long has started each of the past 3 games and played nearly every snap.
Titans LB Jayon Brown (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game against the Seahawks. David Long figures to start in his place next to Rashaan Evans. OLB Bud Dupree (knee) is active but a low-end IDP option at best.
Titans LB Jayon Brown (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game at Seattle. He missed practice Friday with a hamstring injury that didn't affect his participation either of the previous 2 days. That progression doesn't seem to bode well for Brown's game status. OLB Bud Dupree is also questionable with a knee issue. We wouldn't be using him in IDP lineups even if he's active.
