Cowboys RB Javonte Williams bounced back from an inefficient first two games with 98 yards on 19 carries against the Ravens. He also punched in a goal line TD, although his receiving contribution remained limited at 2 catches for 5 yards.

The Cowboys signed RB Tyler Goodson from Atlanta's practice squad and released RB Israel Abanikanda. Abanikanda was a healthy scratch for the opener, leaving RB Emari Demercardo behind workhorse Javonte Williams. We'll see if Goodson gets any run going forward, but Demercardo still looks like the top (albeit relatively shaky) handcuff to Williams.

The Falcons released RB Tyler Goodson. The Athletic's Josh Kendall wrote earlier this week that Goodson could be pushing Brian Robinson for the No. 2 RB job, but that's clearly not the case.

The Athletic's Josh Kendall believes RB Tyler Goodson could be pushing RB Brian Robinson for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. the Dolphins. He remained sidelined in practice all week. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 8’s meeting with the Texans. Taylor's absence again leaves Indianapolis’ backfield to Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson. Sermon remained the lead back last week, but Goodson was much more effective. We wouldn’t be surprised to see him take on an expanded role vs. Miami.

Colts RB Trey Sermon (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) remained out. It's looking like it'll again be Sermon and Tyler Goodson in the Colts' backfield for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. HC Shane Steichen said before practice that Taylor is feeling "a lot better," but his status for this weekend's game vs. the Dolphins remains uncertain. RB Trey Sermon (knee) also missed practice on Wednesday. That left Tyler Goodson as Indianapolis' top healthy RB. He's worth stashing right now as we wait to see how this Colts backfield shakes out over the next few days.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Titans. He remained sidelined in practice all week. We'll see if JT can make it back for Week 7's game against the Dolphins. His absence will again leave the backfield to RBs Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson. Sermon tallied 10 carries and six targets to Goodson's five carries and three targets last week.

Colts RB Trey Sermon (collarbone) returned to a full practice on Thursday. RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) remained out. We're trending toward another game with Sermon as Indianapolis' lead back and Tyler Goodson as the No. 2. Sermon checks in at RB28 in our Week 6 PPR Rankings; RB26 in Half PPR.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. "He’s working through it, he’s looking good," HC Shane Steichen said of JT. "We’ll see how the week goes for him, hopeful that he’ll be out there." Fantasy owners should not be counting on Taylor in Week 6 fantasy lineups. RB Trey Sermon (collarbone) also missed Wednesday's practice. No word on his status for Sunday's game vs. the Titans. If Taylor and Sermon are out, RB Tyler Goodson would be left as Indianapolis' starter.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) won't practice on Wednesday, HC Shane Steichen said. That's not a good start for Taylor's chances of returning for this weekend's game vs. the Titans. We're tentatively projecting him to miss that one, again leaving the backfield to Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson. Sermon tallied 10 carries and six targets to Goodson's five carries and three targets in the Week 5 loss to the Jaguars.

Colts RB Trey Sermon led the backfield in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars, with Jonathan Taylor out. But that meant just 10 carries on a pass-heavy day. Sermon ran for 38 yards and added 25 more yards on 6 receptions. He beat RB Tyler Goodson 6-3 on targets (and catches) despite running three fewer routes. Goodson finished with 5-26 rushing and 3-31 receiving.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. He didn’t practice all week and didn’t seem close to playing in this one. Consider JT no better than 50/50 for Week 6. His absence on Sunday leaves Indianapolis’ backfield to RBs Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson. RB Evan Hull could be elevated from the practice squad. HC Shane Steichen said Friday that “it'll be running back by committee this week.” We’re expecting Sermon to lead the way, but he’s only a RB3 or Flex in fantasy lineups.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. Although his high-ankle sprain is reportedly "mild," he's still unlikely to play vs. the Jaguars this weekend. Taylor's absence would leave Trey Sermon as the Colts' lead back, with Tyler Goodson the No. 2. Sermon sits in RB3 territory in the Week 4 Rankings.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 4 win over the Steelers. "It’s believed to be a pretty mild version," Rapoport adds. "Indy will get a full report tomorrow, but in the words of one source, 'He’s ok.'"

The Colts on Tuesday waived RB Evan Hull. That means any team who wants him would have to go through the waiver process. It also leaves only Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson behind Jonathan Taylor on the regular-season roster.

SI.com's Jake Arthur says "it was quite clear that Trey Sermon is the next man up at running back" coming out of recent Colts OTAs. That followed voluntary sessions RB Jonathan Taylor missed for personal reasons. Arthur adds that RB Evan Hull "appeared to get the initial looks" as passing-down back ahead of RB Tyler Goodson.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor took over the rushing in his return Sunday against the Falcons, claiming 18 of 21 Indianapolis RB carries (85.7%). He managed just 43 yards (2.4 per rush). Taylor also ran just 14 routes in a game that saw QB Gardner Minshew attempt 37 passes and take 6 sacks. RB Tyler Goodson beat Taylor 2-1 in targets and logged the team's only RB catch. It seems goofy from here that Taylor wouldn't garner more of the receiving work. That has been a lighter area for him most of the season. But for that to continue even when No. 2 RB Zack Moss is out seems odd. Perhaps it was related to Taylor coming off thumb surgery. We'll watch for any indication Taylor's receiving usage will improve for Week 17. He also gets a weaker run D in the Raiders (22nd in rush DVOA compared with Atlanta at No. 10).
