Jayden Daniels Dynasty Value

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (elbow) will be out at least the next three weeks, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. That takes Daniels through Washington's Week 12 bye. Fowler adds, though, that "this could turn into a 5-6 week thing real fast, depending on when they revisit this." Fowler also suggests that the Commanders' record could impact when (or if) Daniels returns. They're currently sitting at 3-6 and are big underdogs to the Lions tomorrow. We wouldn't be shocked if the Commanders shut Daniels down if they lose a few more games. He's still worth stashing in most fantasy leagues for now, but managers can't be counting on him contributing the rest of the way.

After seeking multiple opinions on his injured left elbow, Commanders QB Jayden Daniels will not undergo surgery, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Daniels did not suffer any ligament damage to the elbow and "will not be immediately placed on Injured Reserve," Rapoport adds. That seemingly leaves the door open for Washington to change its mind, perhaps if they lose another couple of games with QB Marcus Mariota. Daniels is expected to be re-evaluated during the Commanders' Week 12 bye, so we certainly won't see him before Week 13.
