Breece Hall Out For Week 18

Breece Hall Out For Week 18

Jets RB Breece Hall (knee) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Bills. He finishes the season with 1,415 total yards and five TDs on a bad New York offense. Hall boosted his value heading into free agency this offseason. RB Isaiah Davis (concussion) had already been ruled out for Week 18, leaving the Jets with RBs Khalil Herbert and Kene Nwangwu on the active roster. We'll see if RB Raheem Blackshear is elevated from the practice squad. We'd bet on Herbert leading in carries tomorrow, but it's a tough backfield to project.

Jets RBs Breece Hall (knee) and Isaiah Davis (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. That leaves Davis unlikely to play vs. the Bills this weekend. We'll see about Hall. Khalil Herbert and Kene Nwangwu are the other RBs on New York's roster. RB Raheem Blackshear is on the practice squad.

Jonathan Taylor dominated Colts backfield work last season, ranking second league wide in opportunity share (carries plus targets, adjusted for games missed) and fifth in carries despite missing three full contests. But Indy needs a better backup plan than last year's Trey Sermon-Tyler Goodson combo. And fifth-round rookie DJ Giddens looks like the early leader to replace that pair. According to ESPN's Stephen Holder, though, Giddens also looks like a candidate to siphon some receiving work even when Taylor's healthy.
