Bryce Young Showing "Great Mastery" of the Offense

Bryce Young Showing "Great Mastery" of the Offense

Panthers HC Dave Canales complimented the development of QB Bryce Young. “I think the pace of our offensive development, evolution is growing at the pace of Bryce,” Canales said via The Athletic. “And he’s showing such great mastery of what we’re doing that he’s allowing us to really push the envelope and do more things.” Recall that Young was drafted to a Panthers team with HC Frank Reich and OC Thomas Brown. Now, the 24-year-old (in July) will get the benefit of growing in Canales’ system.

Panthers WR Adam Thielen said this week that he’ll consider retiring after the 2025 season. Thielen initially signed with the Vikings as a UDFA back in 2013. He turns 35 in August and is only under contract for the upcoming season.

The Panthers selected Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan with the eighth pick of Round One in the 2025 NFL Draft. At 6’5, 212 pounds, he wins with elite length, reliable hands, and contested catch ability. An elite high school recruit, McMillan delivered on his promise across three seasons at Arizona. In 2022, he led all true freshmen with 702 receiving yards. From 2023-2024, he was the most productive pass catcher in all of college football (174-2,721-18). Per Pro Football Focus, 25% of his career targets were contested, while he tallied a solid 50% contested catch rate. McMillan didn’t work out before the draft and did not produce a Relative Athletic Score (RAS). He ranked second among Combine WRs in 2024 target share (32.8%) and eighth among those WRs in PFF Receiving Grade (85.8). He ranked second among WRs – behind Travis Hunter – in our predraft Rookie Model Score (8.58).
