Jets WR Corey Davis has left the team for personal reasons, HC Robert Saleh said Wednesday. Saleh wouldn’t say whether Davis will be back for Week 1, adding that he can take “however long he needs." Jets WR Corey Davis shared his thoughts following an offseason of trade/cut rumors. “All of that was out of my control,” Davis said. “It was kind of a long offseason. There was a point where there was uncertainty. Obviously, with all the moves going on, it’s hard not to think that. It’s still a business, but I’m happy to be here. Happy they kept me.” New York added WRs Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman. But HC Robert Saleh said all offseason that the team intended to keep Davis. The 28-year-old is under contract for one more season, and he’s essentially free in current fantasy drafts.
