Tyrone Tracy Dominates Backfield Work in Week 6

Tyrone Tracy Dominates Backfield Work in Week 6

Giants rookie RB Tyrone Tracy took over the backfield in the second game without starter Devin Singletary. Tracy split Week 5 work with Eric Gray early before Gray lost a fumble at the goal line. in Sunday night's loss to the Bengals, however, he played 66 snaps to just 14 for Gray. Tracy claimed 17 of the team's 20 RB carries and all of the RB targets. His 6 targets ranked third on the team and produced a 6-57 receiving line.

Giants RB Devin Singletary (groin) has been downgraded to out for Sunday night's game vs. the Bengals. That'll again leave the backfield to Tyrone Tracy and Eric Gray. Gray actually started last week's game, but he lost a goal-line fumble on the first possession. Tracy took over the rest of the way, ripping off 129 yards on 18 carries. That should make the rookie the backfield leader on Sunday night against Cincinnati's 20th-ranked RB defense.

Giants rookie RB Tyrone Tracy took advantage of his opportunity Sunday against the Seahawks. With starter Devin Singletary out, Tracy dominated backfield playing time. He handled 82% of the team's RB carries and ran five more pass routes than No. 2 RB Eric Gray. Tracy racked up 129 yards on 18 carries. That included runs of 27, 25, and 13 yards. He added 1 reception for a yard among 2 targets.

Giants RB Devin Singletary (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. That leaves New York’s backfield to Tyrone Tracy, Eric Gray, and Dante Miller. Tracy is the best bet for touches, particularly in the passing game. But consider him just a RB3 or Flex play with the Giants’ implied total sitting at 17.75 points.

Giants RB Devin Singletary (groin) is listed as doubtful for this weekend’s game vs. the Seahawks. He returned to practice on Friday but evidently isn’t likely to be ready by Sunday. Singletary’s absence will leave the backfield to Tyrone Tracy and Eric Gray. Both guys figure to be involved, but Tracy has been playing ahead of Gray all season and is the better fantasy bet. Don’t overrate him, though. The Giants offense figures to struggle on the road without WR Malik Nabers against a tough defense. Their implied total is sitting at just 17.75 points – second lowest of the week.
