David Njoku TE CLE

11:32am EST 12/15/24

David Njoku INACTIVE

David Njoku INACTIVE

Browns TE David Njoku (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Chiefs. That leaves TE Jordan Akins as Cleveland’s lead TE, although he registered underwhelming 53%, 74%, and 40% route rates in the three games Njoku missed earlier this season. Akins totaled six catches on 10 targets for 49 scoreless yards over those three games. Look elsewhere in season-long lineups.

Browns TE David Njoku (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Chiefs. He didn’t practice all week, but both HC Kevin Stefanski and Njoku said Friday that he still has a chance to play. We’ll look for further updates on Njoku’s status and get Cleveland’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. He’ll obviously carry elevated risk in fantasy lineups if he plays. If not, Jordan Akins would step in as the Browns’ lead TE and be a desperation fantasy option.

Browns TE David Njoku (hamstring) missed practice again on Thursday. Insider Mary Kay Cabot considers him "unlikely" to play vs. the Chiefs this weekend. We'll see if Njoku gets back on the practice field tomorrow, but fantasy owners should not be counting on him in Week 15 fantasy lineups at this point. Njoku's absence would leave Jordan Akins as Cleveland's lead TE.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman (concussion) is out for Monday night's game vs. the Broncos. He didn't practice all week, which is surprising considering he's now nine days removed from his concussion. We'll see if he can get cleared for next weekend's game vs. the Steelers. Tillman's absence this week figures to leave Jamari Thrash as Cleveland's No. 3 WR. We could see more 2-TE sets with Jordan Akins on the field for the Browns. Ultimately, Tillman's absence just means added target upside for WR Jerry Jeudy, WR Elijah Moore, and TE David Njoku.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee, ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. He returned from his high-ankle sprain last week and subsequently suffered a knee injury. Njoku doesn't seem particularly likely to play vs. the Eagles this weekend, but we'll track his status over the next few days.
