2026 Dynasty Superflex Rookie Rankings: Mendoza and Question Marks at QB (Updated Feb. 13)

The 2026 QB class has plenty of potential, but it lacks the elite option of years past. With a weak skill crop in general, this could be a year to invest in a QB.

2026 Dynasty Superflex Rookie Rankings: Mendoza and Question Marks at QB (Updated Feb. 13)

2026 Rookie Picks Won’t Save You In Superflex

After only one QB was selected in the top 20 of the 2025 NFL Draft, there was hope that 2026 would be a return to the norm.

It won’t be as bad as 2025, but 2026 suffers from similar problems: The QB class simply lacks franchise-changing talent.

The potential top options certainly aren’t run-first QBs like Jayden Daniels or Lamar Jackson, which doesn’t help.

Plus, the other positions lack depth this year.

Our 1-QB Dynasty Rookie Rankings present similar uncertainty.

Let's examine the overall Superflex rookie rankings …

        Fernando Mendoza: Elite Ball Placement

Fernando Mendoza has been compared to Joe Burrow with his ball placement.

Leading No. 1 Indiana to the National Championship, delivering them national prominence. He also brings enough rushing to help bolster his immediate fantasy output.

Mendoza should be drafted near the top of the class and would contend for the 1.01 pick in rookie drafts if stud RB Jeremiyah Love wasn't in the class.

        Projection Over Production at QB

The lack of first-round QB options should concern teams that need one.

Alabama's Ty Simpson has had ups and downs with only 15 college starts. First-round QBs with 15 or fewer starts in the last 10 years:

        • Anthony Richardson
        • Mitchell Trubisky
        • Dwayne Haskins

That’s a bad list to be on. Simpson’s draft stock will be debated heavily ahead of the draft. He could range from a top-10 pick to falling into Round 2.

Ole Miss’ Trinidad Chambliss could sneak his way into the top 50 after being denied an additional college season by the NCAA. Chambliss is still fighting that, but it appears likely he will be in the class. Chambliss may end up not participating in the process however.

        Late-Round QB Upside

The later-round QBs of 2026 do have upside if they find their way to playing time.

LSU's Garrett Nussmeier boasts terrific highlight-reel, off-platform throws. He struggled with INTs, throwing 12, but his ball placement continues to improve.

Miami's Carson Beck transferred from Georgia after late-season injuries, carrying the Hurricanes to the national championship game. He throws plenty of interceptions, but his leadership and intangibles could get him drafted on Day 2.

Baylor’s Sawyer Robertson has good mechanics and could be a Day 3 pick with upside.

There are also some run-first QBs who could be intriguing fantasy stashes such as Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia and Georgia Tech's Haynes King.

Ultimately, this QB class could help infuse more talent into the NFL if they hit.
