Cardinals Counting On Year 2 Leap From Marvin Harrison

Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon has been impressed by WR Marvin Harrison's work this offseason and expects him to make a big leap in his second NFL campaign. "I'm really excited to see where his game goes," Gannon said.

        What They're Saying

Gannon on Harrison: "The jump from year one to year two, I think that’s when guys make a huge jump. And this guy played unbelievable ball for us. But if you talk to him, he’d be the first to tell you, ‘I need to get better at these couple things.’ And, man, he has went to work on them. He looks awesome out there right now. I’m really excited to see where his game goes. … I think he added a little bit of muscle mass. He looks a little bit bigger. All his metrics are better than when we got him. I'm not going to speak truth into the universe, but just wait until this guy plays this year."

        2025 Fantasy Football Impact

Harrison's rookie season was underwhelming only compared to the sky-high expectations fantasy players heaped on him by drafting him in the late first or early second round. Harrison caught 62 balls for 885 yards and eight TDs last year. His 196.5 PPR points were the 23rd most by a rookie WR over the last 10 seasons — just behind Zay Flowers and Chris Olave and right ahead of Tee Higgins, Terry McLaurin, and Deebo Samuel.

Harrison became the 15th first-round rookie WR since 2000 to average between 10.5 and 12.5 PPR points per game. 10 of the previous 14 averaged more points per game in year two, with six of those jumping by more than four points per game.

The Cardinals made no significant additions to the pass-catching corps this offseason, leaving Harrison and TE Trey McBride as the clear top two targets.

It's all on the table for Harrison to take a big jump in production this year. And he's about a round-and-a-half cheaper right now than he was last summer, coming off the board in the mid third round as WR18.
