Week 10 Fantasy Football Quarterback Preview: Will Lamar Jackson Stay Hot?
Top Fantasy QBs for Week 10
1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Allen always carries a high ceiling. That's especially true this week against a Miami defense that just traded EDGE Jaelan Phillips. The Fins also rank bottom six in explosive play rate allowed.
2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Jackson came back from a month off and immediately tossed 4 TD passes on just 18-of-23 passing. He’s working on an absurd 11.9% TD rate this year. That means he could fall significantly and still land at the league-leading rates he posted in 2019 and 2024.
3. Drake Maye, New England Patriots
Maye's finished as a top-ten fantasy QB six times, with QB2 and QB1 finishes over the past month alone. He’s likely to enter Sunday without RB Rhamondre Stevenson and WR Kayshon Boutte, but there’s no way you’re benching Maye in his current form. The Bucs sit mid-pack in fantasy points allowed to QBs, although they’re fourth in pressure rate.
4. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
Herbert has been a top-five QB each of the past three weeks and faces a Steelers’ defense giving up chunks of passing yardage. The only downside of Herbert is losing OT Joe Alt for the season. The Steelers are still allowing 17.5 fantasy passing points per game, 29th in the NFL. This is a great spot for Herbert, even if he faces more pass rush than usual. He should be in lineups.
5. Jaxson Dart, New York Giants
Dart faces a Bears pass defense that’s second-friendliest to fantasy QBs. The rookie already enters the weekend with 21+ fantasy points in all six starts, including a huge 33-point outing in Week 7 at Denver. Dart has scored five rushing TDs over that stretch.
6. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
Hurts’ past two games found him: 1) going nuts on a Vikings defense that had ranked among the best against the pass over the past two years, and 2) tossing 4 TD passes on just 20 attempts even while Saquon Barkley finally had a good outing (and without A.J. Brown). Hurts gets a challenging Packers D this week. But that defense has also allowed 23+ points to the Steelers, Cardinals, and Cowboys within its past five games.
7. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Mayfield is banged up, listed on the injury report with knee/oblique injuries. He’ll also enter the weekend likely to remain without RB Bucky Irving and WR Chris Godwin. On the positive side, Baker comes off a bye to face a Patriots pass D that’s been neutral to enemy QBs. The Bucs are also implied for a solid 25.5 points.
8. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
No QB is hotter than Stafford, who's totaled nine TDs over his last two games and has 3+ in four of his last five outings. That pace will cool eventually. But the Rams are leaning into the passing game, ranking first with a 72% neutral pass rate over the last five weeks. Stafford gets a banged-up 49ers defense on Sunday that's allowed multiple passing scores in four of their last five games. That stretch started with a 389-yard, 3-TD outing from Stafford.
9. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
(Played Thursday Night)
10. Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts
Jones struggled in Pittsburgh, throwing a season-high 3 INTs in Indy's second loss. However, he should rebound in Week 10. The Colts are implied to score 27.5 points -- third-most in Week 10. At home this season, Jones is 5-0 with 13 total TDs and 1 INT. Atlanta has been good against QBs, allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to the position, but they've started to slip. The Falcons have allowed multiple TD passes in four of their last five. This is a 'get right' spot for Jones, who should be viewed as a strong QB1 in Week 10.
11. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
Williams finished as the QB4 last week, boosted by a receiving TD and 53 rushing yards. Before that one, he finished QB20 and QB27, so there’s a wide range of outcomes here. We’ll also keep an eye on the wind and rain/snow mix that has the potential to affect Sunday’s matchup with the Giants.
12. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
Goff's home/road splits haven't been as egregious in 2025. In his last two away games, Goff has completed over 80% of his passes and tossed 5 TD passes. This week, the Lions travel to DC to face a Washington defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing passers. The Commanders have allowed 3-plus TD passes in each of their last three games. This is a great spot for Goff to keep his momentum going. Detroit is projected to score the second-most points (28.5) this week. Goff is a QB1 with top-6 upside.
13. Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks
Darnold leads the league in deep passing yards, according to Pro Football Focus, despite tying for just 16th in deep pass attempts (20+ yards downfield). And now he gets WR Rashid Shaheed, a high-level deep threat. We’ll see how much Shaheed plays less than a week after joining the team. And Darnold’s lower volume adds downside risk to his fantasy line. But he’s settling in as a regular low-end QB1, with upside into the top 4.
14. Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders
Mariota will draw his fourth start of the season in relief of Jayden Daniels. In his previous three starts, Mariota has averaged 192 passing yards, 29.3 rushing yards, and has 5 TDs. He's mostly been an adequate QB2 with some rushing upside, and that's where he comes in again in Week 10. Detroit allows the 11th-most fantasy points to QBs, and the 8.5-point spread invites plenty of pass attempts for Mariota.
15. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
Love’s past five games probably leave you not totally comfy starting him or sitting him. He finished two of those contests with the second-highest fantasy score at the position (depending on your format. The other three? QB19, QB18, and QB23. Week 8 at Pittsburgh marks the only time that Love has finished higher than 13th this season, though -- when he wasn’t facing Dallas’ ceiling-inducing defense (Week 4). Philly’s D has been middling for the year but has also allowed just 11 total TDs to QBs across eight games (1.4 per contest). That keeps Love in QB2 territory for Week 10.
16. Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers
Jones tallied a 342-2-0 passing line vs. the Rams earlier this season, although it took him 49 attempts in an overtime loss to get there. Jones averaged a mediocre 7.0 yards per pass attempt in that one, which is actually better than the 6.4 the Rams have limited opposing passers to this season. Jones and Jalen Hurts are the only QBs to toss multiple scores against this defense. Consider Jones just a QB2 this week.
17. Justin Fields, New York Jets
This week's matchup with the Browns has the lowest implied total (37.5) of the week, so offensive output will be at a premium. The Browns allow the seventh-fewest fantasy points to QBs, but are also incompetent on offense. Fields should have plenty of drives and can do enough damage with his legs to be a mid-range QB2 in Week 10.
18. Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons
Penix overcame his struggles on the road and passed for a season-high 3 TDs at New England last week. Penix has actually averaged 256 passing yards per game over his last four after failing to hit 200 yards in Weeks 2 and 3. However, Week 10 will be a challenge for Penix and the Falcons, who travel to Indianapolis to take on a Colts' defense that ranks 14th, allowing just 16.2 fantasy points per game to QBs. Penix doesn't run much, which keeps him as a mid-range QB2 who should only be started in Superflex leagues.
19. J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings
McCarthy enjoyed a solid fantasy outing last week, his first action since Week 2. That gives him a pair of top-14 finishes among his three starts. But McCarthy also has yet to reach 160 passing yards in a game and is averaging just 22 pass attempts per game. That gives him a pretty flimsy fantasy profile, and tells us the Vikings would prefer to limit his volume.
20. Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals
Brissett’s three starts in place of Kyler Murray so far have found him finishing seventh, 11th, and 10th among QBs. This week presents his toughest matchup, though. Seattle ranks second in total DVOA, fourth in pass DVOA. But the Seahawks sit 17th in our adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs. So it’s not an impenetrable matchup.
21. Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers
Rodgers went 25/35 for 203 yards and a TD last week against the Colts, often working with short fields thanks to turnovers. He has had success on short passes and the Chargers play two-high safeties on 56.7% of snaps. It likely limits Rodgers’ big plays, making him worth keeping on the bench this week.
22. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars added Jakobi Meyers to a banged-up WR corps that might be missing Brian Thomas Jr. this week. Even if Thomas plays through his high-ankle sprain, Lawrence will not be a recommended QB1 play against Houston. The Texans have stifled QB production all season, ranking first in adjusted fantasy points allowed to the position. Only three QBs have tossed multiple TDs against Houston, and none have topped 245 passing yards. Lawrence mustered just 222 scoreless passing yards on 5.6 yards per attempt vs. the Texans back in Week 3.
23. Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers
Young only threw 20 passes in the Panthers’ win over the Packers, throwing for 102 yards and an INT. The Panthers will likely stick with a ground and pound approach, limiting Young’s passes as favorites in this game. The Saints rank 29th in passing fantasy points allowed per attempt (0.549). Bench Young if possible this week.
24. Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders
(Played Thursday Night)
25. Davis Mills, Houston Texans
Mills struggled in relief of QB C.J. Stroud last week, completing just 57% of his passes at 4.6 yards per attempt. That came against a tough Broncos defense, though. Mills was a bit better in significant action across the 2021 and 2022 seasons, with a 64% completion rate and 6.6 yards per attempt. He gets a plus matchup on Sunday against the Jaguars' 27th-ranked QB defense. But with Houston implied for only 18 points, Mills is no better than a low-end QB2.
