Falcons WR Darnell Mooney was back at practice for the first time since suffering his shoulder injury, according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN.
Raimondi: “WR Darnell Mooney is at practice in uniform for the first time since July 24.”
It doesn’t guarantee he’ll be ready to go Week 1, but considering it is his first practice session since the end of July, it’s obviously a welcome sight.
Mooney flirted with 1,000 yards and five TDs in his first season in Atlanta, and is expected to once again play a pivotal role in the Falcons’ passing attack. If he is unable to open the season, TE Kyle Pitts should see an uptick in targets, although trusting him in fantasy lineups remains a massive leap of faith.
