Chimere Dike Making Strong Case for Continued Role Growth

        Chimere Dike Headshot

Titans WR Chimere Dike followed his Week 7 highs in receptions and yards by resetting those marks in Sunday's loss to the Colts. The rookie tallied 7 receptions and 93 yards on a season-high eight targets. He tied fellow rookie Elic Ayomanor in that category while easily leading all Titans in catches and yardage. And Dike also saw a meaningful boost to his playing time at Indy.

        2025 Fantasy Football Impact

When Dike led the team with 70 receiving yards a week ago, the production seemed a bit more fluky.

His 4 receptions tied two other guys for second on the team, with RB Tony Pollard leading them. And Dike's four targets in that game tied WR Van Jefferson and RB Tyjae Spears for fourth, while he ranked third among Tennessee receivers in routes.

That stuff changed in Week 8.

Dike trailed Ayomanor's position lead in playing time by just four snaps. His 89% snap share marked a season high by a wide margin, 32 percentage points ahead of Dike's previous high (in Week 7), which ran nearly identical to his Week 6 usage.

According to Pro Football Focus, Dike overtook Jefferson as the primary guy joining Ayomanor in two-WR sets. Dike played nine of the 13 snaps in such formations, compared with just three for Jefferson. The rookie also played 54 of 57 snaps in three-WR sets.

We'll see whether Dike's production leads to him battling Ayomanor for the No. 2 spot once Calvin Ridley's back.

Or maybe both rookies are playing well enough that Tennessee looks to sell Ridley ahead of the trade deadline.

At the least, Dike looks like a stash right now in leagues of 12+ teams.

        Dynasty Impact

Dike has also improved his dynasty standing with his recent performances.

He entered the league with a questionable prospect profile that mixed in some positives. Dike did break out at age 20 for Wisconsin -- 47-689-6 receiving line in 2022 -- but endured a quieter age-21 season before finishing his college run at Florida.

Dike led that Gators team in receptions and averaged 16.3 yards per catch for his career before blazing a 4.34-second 40 time at the Combine. But Tennessee drafted Ayomanor in the same fourth round (after Dike), and then Ayomanor garnered more summer buzz and early playing time.

There's room for both players to settle in with Cam Ward beyond this season, though, in an offense (and franchise) with plenty to figure out.

I wouldn't recommend getting too attached to Dike, in case favorable sell opportunities arise. But he's at least intriguing.
