Dolphins RB De’Von Achane posted a ceiling game in Sunday’s win over Buffalo. Achane’s 225 total yards and 2 scores amounted to 40.5 PPR points, a figure he hasn’t hit since Week 3 of 2023.
Achane responded to a question about his name being floated in trades ahead of the November 4 deadline.
"I want to be here ... I'm glad neither one of us (himself or WR Jaylen Waddle) is gone.” Achane certainly played that way against Buffalo.
Achane found success against Buffalo in a Week 3 matchup, running 12 times for 62 yards. He added 7-29 receiving.
But Sunday found him operating on a whole new level, elevated by explosive TDs runs of 59 and 35 yards.
On the 59-yarder, Achane broke a tackle in the hole, broke another at the second level, and outran the final two defenders to the end zone. The 35-yarder was a perfectly executed toss play where Achane wasn’t even touched.
Jaylen Wright finished second on the team in carries (5). He slotted ahead of Ollie Gordon (1 carry, -3 yards), who entered Sunday's game with an ankle injury.
Achane and the Fins host Washington in Week 11. The Commanders have allowed 100+ rushing yards in three of their past four matchups. They'll also be without DT Daron Payne, who was suspended for Week 11 after throwing a punch in Sunday's loss to Detroit.
