Best Week 4 Moves From Our Experts: Stash This Defense

Best Week 4 Moves
Whether you're playing redraft or dynasty, knowing what moves to make is crucial to success.
That's why we're having each of our fantasy football experts give you one move to take advantage of this week.
Trade for Deebo Samuel
Coming off of a 2-catch, 11-yard outing with QB Marcus Mariota under center, now is a good time to put out feeler for WR Deebo Samuel.
QB Jayden Daniels “feels good” and is trending toward playing this week. Samuel showed strong chemistry with Daniels, catching 14-of-18 targets for 121 yards and scoring a pair of TDs (1 rushing) in Weeks 1-2 with Daniels starting.
Additionally, WR Terry McLaurin is very much in doubt and was seeking a second opinion on his quad injury. That sounds ominously like something that could sideline McLaurin for multiple weeks.
That would make Samuel Washington’s No. 1 WR and the team’s upcoming schedule looks very favorable. In Week 6, the Commanders host Chicago, followed by a Week 7 trip to Dallas to face a Cowboys’ defense that surrenders the most fantasy points to opposing WRs.
Trade your 2026 Rookie Picks
I’ll continue to shout it from the rooftops, but trade away your 2026 rookie draft picks if you are a contending dynasty team.
The early college season hasn’t returned much confidence in this upcoming rookie class for fantasy purposes. Elite players like RB Jeremiyah Love and Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson look great, but beyond that, the skill positions look weak.
QBs are disappointing. Texas’ Arch Manning will go back to school while potential first-round picks like South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers and LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier have disappointed a bit (though they still may be first-round picks). Even an emerging QB John Mateer from Oklahoma will have wrist surgery and be knocked out a month.
RB has some hope with Washington’s Jonah Coleman rushing for 9 TDs and averaging 6.80 yards per carry. He could be a top-50 pick. But, the other backs outside Coleman and Love have disappointed. Penn State’s Nicholas Singleton hasn’t had a 100-yard game yet and Oregon’s Makhi Hughes came in with hype, but lost the starting job.
WR and TE hasn’t been much better.
It looks like a rough class and depth may be even worse. If you need help now, use our Trade Navigator and move those 2026 firsts before it is too late.
Stash the Browns DST
Cleveland will finish up a gauntlet of opposing offenses this week with the Lions. That follows games against the (Joe Burrow-led) Bengals, Ravens, and Packers to open the season.
Despite the tough slate, this has been one of the best defenses in the league so far by advanced metrics. The Browns rank:
- 3rd in defensive DVOA
- 1st in Pro Football Focus defense grades
The fantasy points haven’t been there yet because of the opponents. But Cleveland’s schedule is about to get much easier:
- Week 5: vs. Minnesota
- Week 6: at Pittsburgh
- Week 7: vs. Dolphins
- Week 8: at Patriots
The Browns figure to land inside the top 10 DSTs in our weekly rankings for all four of those games. Stash them now if you have a bench spot to play with.
