The Seattle News Tribune's Gregg Bell came away from the Seahawks' minicamp on Tuesday believing that RB Zach Charbonnet could be back from his torn ACL sooner than expected. Bell notes that HC Mike Macdonald said shortly after Charbonnet's surgery in mid-February that Charbonnet wouldn't do anything this spring. Yet there he was working off to the side of Tuesday's practice for about 15 minutes with trainers. Charbonnet was working through "lateral movement and other low-impact drills," according to Bell. It was the first time he was on the field in a practice open to the media this offseason. "Charbonnet’s work, albeit incremental, at this minicamp suggests he could be at the top of the plans Macdonald and new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury have for the start of the season," Bell wrote.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Most timelines had Charbonnet sidelined for at least the first half of the season, if not longer.
We're not adjusting our projections based on one beat writer's opinion, but this is certainly encouraging news. We'll keep a close eye on Charbonnet's progress when Seattle's training camp opens in late July. For now, we have him projected to play the final 6 games of the season.
Other Winners & Losers
Charbonnet's status has a big impact on RB Jadarian Price's fantasy outlook. The rookie is the favorite to lead Seattle's backfield while Charbonnet is out, but this likely turns into a committee once Charbonnet is healthy.
Price is a bit overvalued at his current RB25 ADP.
