Cameron Skattebo Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Giants RB Cam Skattebo rushed 25 times for 79 yards in Sunday’s upset win over the Chargers. The Giants held a lead throughout Sunday's game, helping sustain Skattebo’s hefty workload.

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (shoulder) is out for Sunday’s game against the Chargers. He’s expected to miss 2-4 weeks with the dislocated shoulder he suffered last week. That leaves Cam Skattebo as New York’s clear lead back – and a top-24 RB in the Week 4 Rankings.

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks with the dislocated shoulder he suffered in Sunday night's loss to the Chiefs, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It's about the best-case scenario for Tracy. But he'll be at elevated risk of re-injury and likely see his performance as a pass catcher suffer when he returns. Tracy's absence will give rookie Cam Skattebo a chance to lay claim to the lead RB job. He played 70% of the Giants' snaps and handed 8 of 12 RB carries after Tracy went down in Week 3. RB Devin Singletary got the other four rush attempts.

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy dislocated his right shoulder in Sunday night's loss to the Chiefs. ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports that he's "expected to miss some time." Although that's entirely vague, it at least indicates a multi-week absence.

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy suffered a right shoulder injury in the first half of Sunday night's game vs. the Chiefs. He was in obvious pain and headed straight back to the locker room. Tracy is officially questionable to return. His absence leaves New York's backfield to Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary.

Very little went right for the New York Giants in Sunday's 21-6 loss to Washington. RB Tyrone Tracy drew the start and out-snapped his backfield mates 5-18, but Tracy made little impact on the box score or in fantasy lineups.

Giants RB Cameron Skattebo was back on the practice field on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. The rookie has missed most of August with what was believed to be a hamstring injury. That has RB Tyrone Tracy clearly atop the depth chart heading into Week 1. Skattebo won't be an early-season fantasy option, but he still has a chance to push for touches throughout the season. He's worth stashing on fantasy benches.

ESPN's Jordan Raanan said on SiriusXM that there's "no competition" in the Giants backfield. "It's 100% Tyrone Tracy," according to Raanan.

Giants HC Brian Daboll has been impressed by the growth RB Tyrone Tracy has made from his 2024 rookie season. "Tracy has made strides from last year," Daboll said, highlighting the second-year RB's run reads, route running, and blitz pickup. RB Cameron Skattebo, meanwhile, remains sidelined with an undisclosed injury.

Giants RB Cameron Skattebo had a "setback" on Friday, HC Brian Daboll said. We don't have any details on Skattebo's injury. But the New York Daily News' Pat Leonard writes, "It was obvious Skattebo had an injury. Missed 2 practices. They brought him back yesterday and it was too soon."

The Giants selected Arizona State RB Cam Skattebo with the 105th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Skattebo was a zero-star prospect with no FBS offers, so he went to FCS Sacramento State. After a cancelled 2020 season, his high football IQ and toughness earned him the starting role, as he eventually won the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year (2022). He transferred up to Arizona State, and after a quiet 2023, they simply couldn’t keep him off the field last fall. Skattebo recorded 293 carries for 1,711 yards and 21 TDs. He added 45 catches for 605 yards and 3 TDs. Skattebo played his best in big games, ending the season with four straight 100-yard rushing performances, including in the Big-12 Title game and College Football Playoff. Skattebo was second to Ashton Jeanty in missed tackles forced, as the Sun Devils’ tape is littered with powerful runs. However, overall speed and athleticism supply some legit question marks.
