Kimani Vidal & Hassan Haskins Active

        8:00pm UTC 1/4/26

Chargers RBs Kimani Vidal (neck) and Hassan Haskins (concussion) are active for today’s game vs. the Broncos. With RB Omarion Hampton out, we’re expecting Vidal to lead the backfield. But he’s an unexciting fantasy option with the Trey Lance-led Chargers huge underdogs in this one.

Omarion Hampton Out For Week 18

        1:05am UTC 1/3/26

Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. The rookie didn’t practice all week, so it’s unclear if he’s actually hurt or is just getting the week off ahead of the playoffs. RBs Kimani Vidal (neck) and Hassan Haskins (concussion) are both listed as questionable but put in full practices on Friday and should be available. We’re projecting Vidal to lead the backfield, but it’s not an upside fantasy spot with the Chargers 12.5-point underdogs in Denver.

Will Kimani Vidal Leads Chargers' Week 18 Backfield?

        2:35am UTC 1/2/26

Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice, while RB Kimani Vidal (neck) was a full-go. We're expecting Hampton to be held out of Sunday's game vs. the Broncos, along with other key starters. It looks like Vidal will be available, though, leaving him as the best bet for touches in the backfield. That puts Vidal on the Week 18 radar, although it's tough to get excited about the upside with the Trey Lance-led Chargers 12.5-point underdogs in Denver.

        Omarion Hampton Held Out Wednesday

        1:50am UTC 1/1/26

Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. The rookie seemed to make it out of last week's loss to the Texans ok. But HC Jim Harbaugh already announced that QB Justin Herbert won't play in Sunday's game vs. the Broncos, and it wouldn't be surprising if Hampton was also held out. RBs Kimani Vidal (neck) and Hassan Haskins (concussion) were limited on Wednesday.

        Kimani Vidal INACTIVE

        8:02pm UTC 12/27/25

Chargers RB Kimani Vidal (neck) is inactive for today's game vs. the Texans. That leaves Hassan Haskins as Los Angeles' No. 2 RB and should mean more work for RB Omarion Hampton. The rookie checks in 18th in the Week 17 RB rankings.

Kimani Vidal Questionable For Week 17

        12:43am UTC 12/26/25

Chargers RB Kimani Vidal (neck) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Texans. He only got in a limited practice on Thursday. Vidal shouldn't be in your Week 17 fantasy plans, but his absence would be a noticeable boost for RB Omarion Hampton.

Kimani Vidal "Day To Day" With Neck Strain

        8:00pm UTC 12/22/25

Chargers RB Kimani Vidal is considered "day to day" with a neck strain suffered in the Week 16 win over the Cowboys, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "Vidal could miss time, but the belief is that it's not serious," Rapoport adds. We'll start the week projecting Vidal to miss Saturday's game vs. the Texans, which would leave Hassan Haskins as the No. 2 RB and likely mean a significant boost in volume for RB Omarion Hampton.

Kimani Vidal Leaves With Neck Injury

        8:33pm UTC 12/21/25

Chargers RB Kimani Vidal is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys with a neck injury. His absence should mean more Omarion Hampton, with Hassan Haskins as the No. 2 RB. We'll update Vidal's status when we know more.

Omarion Hampton Still Has a Playing-Time Problem

        2:46am UTC 12/15/25

RB Omarion Hampton led the Chargers in carries (15) and rushing yards (61) in Sunday's win over the Chiefs. He edged Kimani Vidal by three carries and matched his one target. But Hampton also trailed Vidal in playing time for the second straight week, powered by the Chargers favoring Vidal in passing situations. L.A. remained basically even in pass-run split, with 33 dropbacks vs. 29 designed run plays vs. Kansas City.

Kimani Vidal Doubles Omarion Hampton's Playing Time in Return

        3:25pm UTC 12/9/25

Chargers RB Omarion Hampton ran for 56 yards and caught the team's lone TD in his return Monday night from an ankle injury that had sidelined him since Week 5. Hampton rushed 13 times vs. 14 for Kimani Vidal, who officially got the start. Hampton also edged Vidal 2-1 in catches, though Vidal led the backfield in targets and routes. His 23 routes marked a 56% rate vs. total Chargers dropbacks and beat Hampton by 15. Vidal took his lone catch for 60 yards and gained 44 yards on his 14 rushes (3.1 per carry).

        Omarion Hampton Officially Returns

The Chargers on Monday activated RB Omarion Hampton from IR. That clears the way for him to play tonight against the Eagles. It would be his first action since a Week 5 ankle injury.

Omarion Hampton Questionable, Expected To Play Week 14

        8:25pm UTC 12/6/25

Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Eagles. He was a full participant in Friday and Saturday's practices, though, and both ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and insider Jordan Schultz report that Hampton is expected back for this one. It'll be his first action since Week 5, so don't expect to see him in a workhorse role. We'll look for any hints on how work will be divvied between Hampton and RB Kimani Vidal. Hampton currently sits 20th in the Week 14 RB rankings.

        Omarion Hampton A Full-Go Friday

Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) was upgraded to full participation in Friday's practice. That should put him on track to return for Monday night's game vs. the Eagles. We'll see how Hampton is listed on Saturday's final injury report and look for any details on how much volume he'll get in his first action since Week 5. Hampton got a matchup upgrade with DL Jalen Carter out for Monday night's game.

Omarion Hampton Out For Week 13

        1:55am UTC 11/29/25

Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Raiders. He returned to limited practices this week but isn’t quite ready for game action yet. “It was a good week,” HC Jim Harbaugh said Friday. “Really beneficial, ramping up. Everything’s on track to return, not this week.” RB Kimani Vidal is the only healthy RB on Los Angeles’s active roster right now, with RBs Jaret Patterson, Amar Johnson, and Trayveon Williams on the practice squad. We’ll see which of those guys are elevated on Saturday afternoon, but Vidal is in for strong volume in a good spot against the Raiders’ 25th-ranked RB defense.

        Kimani Vidal Hurts Thigh

        6:52pm UTC 11/16/25

Chargers RB Kimani Vidal is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars with a thigh injury. The broadcast showed him walking the sidelines with his helmet on, but we'll see if he gets back in the game. Vidal's absence leaves the Chargers with RBs Trayveon Williams and Amar Johnson.

Update: Vidal returned near the end of the second quarter.
