Kyle Monangai and D'Andre Swift Dominate Together

        11:43pm UTC 11/28/25

The Bears ran enough to support big fantasy days for both their RBs in Friday's win at Philadelphia. Kyle Monangai rushed 22 times for 130 yards and a TD. D'Andre Swift added 125 yards and a TD on 18 attempts.

        Bears-Eagles Weather Update

        7:33pm UTC 11/28/25

The forecast for today's Bears-Eagles game calls for 15-25 mph winds with gusts up to 35 mph. That's enough to impact deep passes and kicks. We're not adjusting any projections, but you could use the weather as a tiebreaker against guys from this game.

Rookie Skill Players Make Impact in Bears’ Victory

        4:10pm UTC 11/24/25

The Chicago Bears scored 31 points on offense against the Pittsburgh Steelers with three rookies overtaking the veterans in front of them. RB Kyle Monangai went 12-48-1 on the ground outperforming D’Andre Swift who only went 8-15-0. TE Colston Loveland went 4-49-1 compared to Cole Kmet’s 1-3-0. Finally, WR Luther Burden III surpassed Olamide Zaccheaus again this week with Burden going 3-46-0 on 5 targets while Zaccheaus caught his lone target for 6 yards.

D'Andre Swift Leads Run-Driven Game, But There's Something to Worry About

        9:13pm UTC 11/16/25

Bears RB D'Andre Swift registered 90 yards on a season-high 21 carries in Sunday's win over the Vikings. Chicago leaned heavily on the run, logging 39 rushing attempts vs. just 32 passes (and two sacks). Just four of those 39 rushes came from the QB. Swift continued to lead rookie RB Kyle Monangai in work -- 21 carries to 12 -- but he ceded the lone TD to Monangai in worrisome fashion. And that wasn't even the only worrying factor.

D'Andre Swift Outshines Kyle Monangai in Week 10

        6:41pm UTC 11/10/25

Bears RB D’Andre Swift led the backfield in a Week 10 win over the Giants. Swift topped rookie Kyle Monangai in snap share (61% to 39%), carry share (62% to 33%), and route rate (56% to 39%) in his return from a groin injury.

        D'Andre Swift Active

        4:36pm UTC 11/9/25

Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin, personal) is active for today’s game vs. the Giants. He didn’t practice on Friday, presumably for personal reasons, and was listed as questionable. But Swift was a full-go on Thursday, so we’re not expecting the groin to be a major issue. It’s unclear exactly how work will be divvied between Swift and RB Kyle Monangai, with HC Ben Johnson suggesting Friday that he could ride the hot hand. Both guys have plenty of upside against the Giants’ 31st-ranked RB defense.

        Giants-Bears Weather Update

        3:48pm UTC 11/9/25

The forecast for today's Giants-Bears game calls for sustained winds around 20 mph with gusts up near 30 mph. That's enough to potentially impact play calling (i.e. more running) and passing efficiency. The game's total has dropped from 47 to 45.5. We've docked the projections on both passing games and would stay away from the kickers in this game. See the updated rankings.

D'Andre Swift Expected To Play Week 10

        2:37am UTC 11/9/25

Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin, personal) is expected to play vs. the Giants on Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Swift was seemingly on track to play after putting in a full practice on Thursday. But he was sidelined on Friday and had "personal" added to his listing on the injury report. The pattern makes us believe that the groin is not a big concern heading into this one. The question now is how backfield touches will be divvied after RB Kyle Monangai's big Week 9. HC Ben Johnson said Friday that he's willing to ride the hot hand. "I believe in a guy having the hot hand," Johnson said. "One guy, if he’s feeling it and giving us a spark, we might lean on that a little bit longer." We're expecting Swift to get the start vs. the Giants -- and the first opportunity to get that hot hand. But this is a difficult backfield to project. The good news is that there should be lots of production to go around against the league's 31st-ranked RB defense.

D'Andre Swift Questionable For Week 10

        7:49pm UTC 11/7/25

Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin, personal) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants. He was a full-go in Thursday’s practice but sidelined on Friday and given a “personal” tag on the injury report. We’ll look for more info on Swift’s status for this one. We’re expecting him to lead a committee attack alongside RB Kyle Monangai if he plays. If not, Monangai would be a fantasy RB1 against a bad Giants run defense.

        D'Andre Swift A Full-Go Thursday

        8:32pm UTC 11/6/25

Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. He'll be back for this weekend's game vs. the Giants after watching rookie RB Kyle Monangai run all over the Bengals last week. It's possible that performance earned Monangai a bigger role going forward. But there should be plenty to go around for both guys on Sunday against the Giants' 31st-ranked RB defense.

D'Andre Swift Back At Practice Wednesday

        2:08am UTC 11/6/25

Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It's an improvement over last week, when he missed all three practices before winding up inactive. We're tentatively expecting Swift back for Sunday's game vs. the Giants but will keep you updated on his status over the next few days. RB Kyle Monangai had a huge game with Swift out last week -- but it came against the Bengals. Swift still figures to have a significant role in this backfield when available.

D'Andre Swift & Roschon Johnson Out For Week 9

        6:54pm UTC 10/31/25

Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. He's been battling this groin issue for a few weeks now. It either got worse over the last week, or the team finally decided to get him some rest. We'll see if he makes it back for Week 10. RB Roschon Johnson (back) is also out for this Sunday, leaving Kyle Monangai and Travis Homer as the healthy RB on the active roster. RB Brittain Brown is on the practice squad. Homer doesn't have a touch on offense this season, while Monangai's role has been growing in recent weeks. The rookie is a good bet to handle most of the backfield work in this matchup against Cincinnati's 32nd-ranked RB defense.

        D'Andre Swift Out Again Thursday

        7:17pm UTC 10/30/25

Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. That's a downgrade from last week, when he missed Wednesday but returned to a limited practice on Thursday. We'll see if Swift gets on the field tomorrow, ahead of Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. His absence in that one would leave rookie RB Kyle Monangai in a big role. RB Roschon Johnson (back) has remained sidelined this week after missing last Sunday's game.

D'Andre Swift Questionable For Week 8

        6:43pm UTC 10/24/25

Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin) is listed as questionable to play vs. the Ravens this weekend. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Swift was in a similar boat last week and ended up playing his usual role vs. the Saints, racking up 138 yards and a score. We’re expecting Swift to be fine for the Ravens game but will get Chicago’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. RB Roschon Johnson (back) has been ruled out, which would leave Kyle Monangai as the clear lead back if Swift were to miss this one.

Kyle Monangai Comes Alive as the Bears’ No. 2 RB

        4:51am UTC 10/20/25

Bears rookie RB Kyle Monangai excelled as the No. 2 RB against the Saints. He went 13-81-1 on the ground and 2-13-0 through the air. Starting RB D’Andre Swift went 19-124-1 on the ground and 1-14-0 through the air. With HC Ben Johnson’s history of using two backs in Detroit, Monangai could become the David Montgomery to Swift’s Jahmyr Gibbs in terms of usage (though neither is as talented as their Lions’ counterparts).

D'Andre Swift Questionable For Week 7

        6:42pm UTC 10/17/25

Update: HC Ben Johnson said he's "hopeful" that Swift will be able to play vs. the Saints. Swift said that he'll play, per ESPN's Courtney Cronin, adding that the limited practices were just maintenance.

D'Andre Swift Defies Matchup for Big Rushing Night

        9:56am UTC 10/14/25

Bears RB D'Andre Swift racked up 108 yards on 14 carries in Monday night's win over the Commanders. Washington's defense entered the night fifth-best in rush DVOA and adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs, which made Swift's 7.7 yards per carry especially notable. Rookie Kyle Monangai followed with a 5-19 rushing line, while Roschon Johnson claimed the other RB carry (for 6 yards). QB Caleb Williams produced the team's only rushing score, from a yard out. Swift added a 55-yard receiving TD to drive a 2-67-1 receiving line on three targets.
