Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Bears RB D’Andre Swift (hip) is questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Raiders after a limited week of practice. He played his usual role despite a questionable listing last week, although that was with a quad injury. We’re expecting Swift to play this Sunday, but we’ll look for further updates on his status. Swift’s absence would leave rookie Kyle Monangai as Chicago’s likely lead back, with Roschon Johnson the No. 2.
Bears RB D’Andre Swift (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Cowboys. He was limited in practice all week. We’ve seen nothing to suggest that Swift is in danger of missing this one, but we’ll look for more info on his status. Swift’s absence would leave Chicago’s backfield to Kyle Monangai and Roschon Johnson.
Bears RB Roschon Johnson was officially active for Sunday's game against the Lions, but you wouldn't know it from the box score. Johnson logged zero touches in his return after going inactive for the opener because of a foot injury. Rookie RB Kyle Monangai, meanwhile, carried seven times for 28 yards and caught one of three targets for 8 yards as the clear No. 2 back behind D'Andre Swift. The starter posted a 12-63-1 rushing line and caught all three of his targets for 6 yards.
Bears RB Roschon Johnson (foot) is not listed on the final Week 2 injury report. He’ll make his 2025 debut vs. the Lions on Sunday. We’ll see how work is split between Johnson and RB Kyle Monangai behind lead back D’Andre Swift. HC Ben Johnson notably said this week that he’d like to get Monangai more work. Neither guy is a Week 2 fantasy option, but don’t expect Swift to play as big a role as he did in Week 1.
Bears RB Roschon Johnson (foot) is inactive for tonight's game against the Vikings. That leaves RBs Kyle Monangai as the clear No. 2 RB. We'll monitor the rookie's usage, but we're expecting D'Andre Swift to control backfield work in this one.
Bears RB Roschon Johnson (foot) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Vikings. He only got in a limited practice on Saturday, so he looks legitimately iffy for the opener. RB Kyle Monangai (hamstring) is off the final injury report after putting in a full practice on Saturday. The rookie might find himself as the No. 2 RB on Monday night. He's worth stashing in deeper fantasy leagues but isn't a Week 1 option. RB D'Andre Swift should handle the majority of snaps vs. Minnesota.
Bears RB Roschon Johnson (foot) did not practice on Thursday. RB Kyle Monangai (hamstring) was limited. Both guys missed a lot of time in August and are iffy for Monday night's opener vs. the Vikings. We're expecting RB D'Andre Swift to dominate backfield snaps in that one.
The Bears have signed RB Royce Freeman. He last played for the Rams in 2023.
Bears RB Roschon Johnson did not participate in Thursday’s practice with a foot injury, according to Brad Biggs of The Chicago Tribune.
According to Courtney Cronin of ESPN, Bears RB Roschon Johnson seems poised to operate as Chicago's short-yardage RB again in 2025.
The first episode of the Patriots' "Forged in Foxborough" web series revealed that the team had multiple offers for the 38th overall pick in the draft. Instead of moving, though, New England stayed and selected Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson. The offers:
Bears RB Roschon Johnson (concussion) put in a full week of practice and is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Lions. Johnson isn’t a viable fantasy option but figures to steal some passing-down and short-yardage snaps from RB D’Andre Swift.
Bears RB Roschon Johnson (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. That puts him on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Lions and siphon some passing-down and short-yardage work from RB D'Andre Swift.
Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Vikings. He only got in a limited practice on Saturday but said afterward that he expects to play against Minnesota. The late kickoff makes it a tricky situation for fantasy owners, though. RB Roschon Johnson (concussion) is out for Week 15, so Swift's absence would leave the backfield to RBs Travis Homer and Darrynton Evans. If you're considering those two for Swift insurance, we'd lean toward Homer.
