Sincere McCormick Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Raiders placed RB Sincere McCormick on IR with the ankle injury he suffered in Monday night's loss to the Falcons. That ends his 2024 season. McCormick flashed with 4.7 yards per carry over the last four weeks, which should earn him an opportunity to win a role in this backfield this offseason. He's a low-end dynasty stash. McCormick's absence leaves Vegas' backfield to Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah the rest of the way. Mattison is a volume-based RB3 option.

Raiders RB Sincere McCormick left Monday’s game vs. Atlanta with a left ankle injury. McCormick might have suffered a high-ankle sprain in the second quarter, but we should know more over the next 24 hours.

Raiders RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) put in a full week of practice and is not listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Falcons. He'll play for the first time since Week 11 but has lost the starting job to RB Sincere McCormick. Mattison should not be in Week 15 fantasy lineups.

Raiders HC Antonio Pierce said Wednesday that RB Sincere McCormick will remain the team's lead back even when RB Alexander Mattison returns from his quad injury. "He’s deserved it," Pierce said of McCormick. "Last week, he was running his tail off, so keep running it, keep pushing those numbers up, see if we can get him to 100 [yards]." McCormick has given the Raiders their most productive running of the season over the last three weeks, totaling 175 rushing yards on 5.5 yards per carry. His upside is limited with a minimal pass-catching role on a bad offense. But McCormick could be a serviceable RB3 over the next three weeks vs. Atlanta, Jacksonville, and New Orleans.

The Raiders placed RB Zamir White (quad) on IR. That ends his 2024 season with 183 rushing yards on 2.8 yards per carry across eight games. White should have been dumped from redraft rosters weeks ago and is not a must-hold in dynasty. We'll see if RB Alexander Mattison is ready to return from his ankle injury this week, but we're expecting the Raiders to stick with Sincere McCormick as their lead back regardless.

Raiders RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Buccaneers. With RB Zamir White (quad) also out, Vegas is again down to RBs Sincere McCormick and Ameer Abdullah. We’re projecting McCormick to lead in carries but Abdullah to continue handling most passing-down work. That leaves both guys in RB3 territory in the Week 14 Rankings.

Raiders RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) is not expected to play vs. the Buccaneers today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. That'll again leave the backfield to Sincere McCormick and Ameer Abdullah. Abdullah easily led the way in snaps and routes last week, but McCormick out-carried him 12 to 10. We're expecting similar deployment today, with McCormick potentially expanding his lead in carries. He's worth a look as a RB3 or Flex play.

Raiders RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Buccaneers. RB Zamir White (quad) has been ruled out. If Mattison returns for this one, Vegas’ backfield would be tough to project. If he remains out, Sincere McCormick will be in play as a RB3 or Flex.

Raiders RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice, while RB Zamir White (quad) remained out. We're tentatively expecting Mattison to return for this weekend's game vs. the Bucs, although it's entirely unclear how work will be divvied between Mattison, Sincere McCormick, and Ameer Abdullah. Try to avoid the backfield in Week 14 fantasy lineups.

Raiders RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) is inactive for today's game vs. the Chiefs. With RB Zamir White (quad) also out, Vegas is again down to RBs Ameer Abdullah, Sincere McCormick, and Dylan Laube. Abdullah dominated playing time last week with an 89% snap rate, tallying eight carries and six targets. But Raiders HC Antonio Pierce has talked up a bigger role for McCormick this week. This is ultimately a backfield to try to avoid against Kansas City's top-ranked RB defense.

Raiders RBs Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quad) are inactive for today’s game vs. the Broncos. That leaves the backfield to Ameer Abdullah, Dylan Laube, and Sincere McCormick. HC Antonio Pierce said Friday that Abdullah will start, but it’s entirely unclear how touches will be divvied beyond that. Abdullah sits highest among Raiders RBs in the Week 12 Rankings, but you should try to avoid the situation in fantasy lineups.

Raiders RBs Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quad) are listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. Vegas will roll with Ameer Abdullah, Dylan Laube, and likely practice-squad callup Sincere McCormick in the backfield. We’re projecting Abdullah to lead in touches, but it’s a guess more than anything else. With the Raiders six-point underdogs with a 17.5-point implied total against a tough Denver defense, you should try to stay away from this backfield.
