Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Chiefs WR Rashee Rice went 7-32-2 with 10 targets in his first game back from suspension. The third-year player played in his first game since September of 2024 after a torn LCL caused him to miss most of the 2024 season. He appears to have stepped right into the top WR role for the Chiefs once again.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy appeared to re-injure his right shoulder in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. He was visibly upset on the sidelines. We'll update his status when we know more, but we're not expecting to see Worthy back out there with the Chiefs nursing a 28-0 lead.
Update: Worthy surprisingly returned for Kansas City's next possession.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (ankle, shoulder) is not listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He was held out on Thursday but returned to a full practice on Friday. HC Andy Reid confirmed that Worthy will have no limitations in Sunday night’s game against the Lions.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (ankle, shoulder) did not practice on Thursday. That followed a full workout on Wednesday. It's unclear if this was a planned day off, or if Worthy suffered a setback with his shoulder or ankle injury. We'll see if he gets back on the practice field tomorrow and then how he's listed on the final injury report for Sunday night's game vs. the Lions.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy caught 6 of 8 targets for 42 yards in Monday's upset loss to the Jaguars. He entered the night questionable with a shoulder/ankle injury and briefly left this game in the third quarter.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder, ankle) is active for tonight's game vs. the Jaguars. He was added to the injury report on Sunday after his ankle reportedly swelled up on the plane ride. It's still unclear when Worthy injured the ankle, but multiple reports suggest it won't be a major factor tonight. Worthy carries a bit more downside than he did 36 hours ago, but he remains the top fantasy play at WR in this game.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy is expected to play vs. the Jaguars tonight, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Worthy "turned his ankle a little bit, woke up swollen," per Rapoport, but was added to the injury report only as a precaution. We'll look for more info on Worthy leading up to kickoff, but he still projects as the top WR play in this game.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder, ankle) has been downgraded to questionable for Monday night’s game vs. the Jaguars. We'll look for more details on his status, but fantasy managers hoping to use Worthy tomorrow night should add an insurance policy from that game. WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton would pick up extra work if Worthy is out. WR Dyami Brown is also an option.
Update: Per NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, Worthy's ankle was "a little swollen" when he got off the plan in Jacksonville. "Chiefs put him on injury report as questionable as a precaution for now & will see how he feels tomorrow," Wolfe adds.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy returned from his shoulder injury with a bang. He ended the game with a team-leading eight targets. His final stat line of 5-83 was a solid fantasy day, despite not finding the end zone. He also had two runs for 38 yards including a 35-yard scamper. He did all this while playing limited snaps. Worthy’s 43 snaps ranked well below Juju Smith-Schuster who led the Chiefs’ WRs with 57 snaps. But Worthy’s presence seemed to ignite a Chiefs’ passing game that was dormant. QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 270 yards and 4 TDsin the game.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder) put in a full week of practice and is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Ravens. He’ll likely be playing with a harness on his injured shoulder, and there’s a chance his snaps are limited. We’ll look for any information on Kansas City’s plans for Worthy in this game, but consider him a risk/reward WR3 for now.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder) put in a full practice on Wednesday for the first time since going down in Week 1. That should have him on track to return for Sunday's showdown with the Ravens. Worthy will likely be playing with a harness on that shoulder that will restrict mobility, and his snaps could be limited. We'll look for more clues about his Week 4 usage, but he shapes up as a risk/reward WR3 or Flex.
The Chiefs have downgraded WR Xavier Worthy to out for Sunday night's game against the Giants, and he is not traveling with the team, according to multiple reports. Kansas City initially listed Worthy as questionable after a limited practice participation all week. But the team has clearly deemed the wideout not yet ready to play.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Giants. He was limited in practice all week. HC Andy Reid said Friday that they’ll “see how it goes” regarding Worthy’s availability for this one. The late kickoff could put Worthy owners in a tricky spot. We’ll look for further updates on his status. WR Jalen Royals (knee) is also listed as questionable but put in full practices on Thursday and Friday. He should be ready to make his NFL debut on Sunday night.
A source tells ESPN's Jeremy Fowler that Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder) is "50/50" for Sunday night's game against the Giants. Worthy was limited in Wednesday's practice. "Have to see how he looks with real practice reps," the source added. We'll keep an eye on Worthy's progress over the next few days, but the late kickoff could make this a tricky situation for fantasy owners.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He also got in limited practices last Thursday and Friday, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said earlier this week that Worthy is on track to return for Sunday night's game vs. the Giants. We'll keep you updated on his progress leading up to that one. We're ranking Worthy conservatively for Week 3 for now. WR Jalen Royals (knee) was also limited on Wednesday and has a chance to make his NFL debut this weekend.
