Rookie Skill Players Make Impact in Bears’ Victory

The Chicago Bears scored 31 points on offense against the Pittsburgh Steelers with three rookies overtaking the veterans in front of them. RB Kyle Monangai went 12-48-1 on the ground outperforming D’Andre Swift who only went 8-15-0. TE Colston Loveland went 4-49-1 compared to Cole Kmet’s 1-3-0. Finally, WR Luther Burden III surpassed Olamide Zaccheaus again this week with Burden going 3-46-0 on 5 targets while Zaccheaus caught his lone target for 6 yards.

Bears TE Cole Kmet tallied a team-high 5 receptions for a team-high 45 yards in Sunday's win over the Vikings. His five targets tied for second on the team, trailing leader WR Rome Odunze by one. Kmet also beat TE Colston Loveland by one target. Loveland logged 3 catches for 40 yards in a game that saw Chicago throw for just 193 yards in all.

Bears TE Cole Kmet (concussion) is not listed on the final injury report and will play vs. the Giants this weekend. Kmet isn’t a fantasy option, but his presence dings TE Colston Loveland’s playing-time projection. The rookie remains a viable TE1, though, after his huge Week 9.
