Drake London's Hamstring Injury Not Serious

Drake London's Hamstring Injury Not Serious

Falcons HC Raheem Morris didn't seem concerned about WR Drake London's hamstring injury after the win over the Giants. "I believe he would have went back in," Morris said. "I look forward to him being ready to practice next week." We'll look for further updates on London and track his practice participation this coming week, but fantasy owners can tentatively expect him to play against the Commanders on Sunday night.

Falcons WR Drake London suffered a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Giants. He's officially questionable to return, but we'd be surprised to see him back on the field with Atlanta holding a 34-7 lead. We'll update London's status when we know more.

The Falcons are benching QB Kirk Cousins and going to QB Michael Penix, according to both NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter. Atlanta stuck with Cousins for too long, losing four of the last five and falling out of first place in the NFC South. They beat the Raiders on Monday night in spite of Cousins, who completed just 11 of 17 passes for 112 yards, one TD, and one INT. Penix obviously lacks Cousins' experience but should prove to be a big upgrade in terms of arm talent. We'd still expect the Falcons to be a run-heavy offense going forward, especially as big favorites over the Giants this weekend.

Falcons WR Drake London had 10 targets against the Vikings, but was only able to haul in 70 yards. He also didn’t find the end zone for the fourth game in a row. His teammates had better fantasy days with Darnell Mooney catching six of seven targets for 142 yards while Ray-Ray McCloud caught eight of 11 targets for 98 yards.
