This whole Alec Pierce situation is getting annoying. Colts GM Chris Ballard addressed reporters late Wednesday and said previous reports about the WR getting a second platelet-rich plasma injection on his recovering ankle were innacurate. According to ESPN's Stephen Holder, Ballard said the January PRP injection -- before the surgery -- has been the only such treatment for Pierce.
This Can't Be Good News for Alec Pierce's Recovering Ankle
Colts WR Alec Pierce had a second platelet-rich plasma injection into his left ankle in June, according to multiple reports. Pierce reportedly got the first such treatment back in January but still needed surgery in March. The PRP treatment is meant to accelerate healing.
