        Fitzpatrick "weeks away" from returning

Washington QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) is still "weeks away" from returning and not a lock to return at all this season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Fitzpatrick's original timeline had him returning in late October, but it sounds like his recovery has gone slower than expected. Fitzpatrick is still on crutches, per Rapoport, and is expected to get another MRI on that hip this coming week. QB Taylor Heinicke will remain Washington's starter for the foreseeable future -- and potentially the rest of the season.
