WR Terrace Marshall was cut by the Carolina Panthers before the NFL roster cutdown deadline. Marshall was the 59th overall pick in 2021 and never lived up to the expectations of his draft stock. Marshall was handpicked by then Panthers OC Joe Brady who now has that position with the Buffalo Bills.
The Panthers invested heavily into their WR group this offseason.
First round rookie WR Xavier Legette was added while also trading for Diontae Johnson from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Along with Adam Thielen and Jonathan Mingo having good camps, there was no room for Marshall on the Panther roster.
Marshall never emerged in his NFL career, despite the high draft capital. His best season was in 2022 with 28 receptions for 490 yards and a touchdown.
Marshall was not fantasy relevant this year (or ever in his career) and will likely never be relevant going forward.
One potential landing spot for Marshall is the Buffalo Bills.
Marshall spent his sophomore year at LSU with Brady as his OC. Brady then pounded the table for Marshall while OC with the Panthers.
If there is a place where Marshall could land and make a roster, the Bills are likely his best bet, but the odds still remain slim.
A loaded supporting cast, improved QB play, and offensive continuity set the stage for Atlanta to deliver serious fantasy value in 2025.
