The Lions are signing WR Tim Patrick. He'll start on the practice squad, "with the idea that he will work his way on to the active roster," per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
Patrick was a surprise cut by the Broncos after running with the first-team offense throughout the preseason. He, of course, hasn't played a regular-season snap since 2021 due to ACL and Achilles injuries.
In Detroit, Patrick figures to slot in as the No. 4 WR behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Kalif Raymond. That obviously won't make him a fantasy factor off the hop. But an injury to St. Brown or Williams could put Patrick squarely on the radar. The Lions have always been hesitant to play the 180-pound Raymond for too many offensive snaps.
