Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) was on the field in pads for Sunday's practice. The rookie missed the majority of August with hip and hamstring injuries but is seemingly on track to be available for Friday night's opener vs. the Eagles.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
Lloyd figures to be available for Week 1 but is unlikely to have a tangible role after missing so much time this summer. We're currently projecting Emanuel Wilson to be the Packers' No. 2 RB vs. the Eagles -- behind a workhorse Josh Jacobs.
But a healthy Lloyd is a good bet to eventually emerge as Green Bay's No. 2 RB. We'll see if that means enough work to be a standalone fantasy option, but he'd at least be a high-value handcuff to Jacobs.
Lloyd is a nice stash on fantasy benches.
