Packers RB rookie MarShawn Lloyd will make his NFL debut this week as the Packers take on the Indianapolis Colts. Lloyd missed Week 1 with a hamstring injury that had ailed him for much of the preseason. He is presumed to be the back-up to RB Josh Jacobs.

What They're Saying

Adam Schefter of ESPN: "Packers rookie RB MarShawn Lloyd, listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury that prevented him from playing in Week 1, is expected to make his NFL debut today vs. the Colts, per source."

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

With QB Jordan Love out for the Packers, they will likely lean on the run game a bit more this week. That could mean significant snaps for Lloyd if he is 100% healthy.

Last week, RB Emanuel Wilson earned a few carries and snaps for the team when Jacobs was ineffective or needed a spell. Lloyd could slide right into that role and maybe even earn a few more snaps due to his talent.

There is no reason to start Lloyd in any league type for Week 2. But keep a close eye on how the Packers coaching staff utilizes him and if there is promise for more carries moving forward.

He could be a fine flex play when bye weeks hit, and has RB2 upside if Jacobs goes down with an injury.
