Jones left the game briefly for an unspecified injury. It appeared to be a lower-body issue, given that Jones tested himself by running on the sideline after exiting the blue medical tent. But Jones carried just a 4-3 carry lead into halftime.
Jones still easily beat Chandler in total playing time, 33 snaps to 19. And Jones ran far more effectively than Chandler in Week 1 ...
- Jones vs. Giants: 14 carries, 94 yards, 6.7 yards per carry
- Chandler: 8 carries, 17 yards, 2.1 yards per carry
His 35% playing time agains the 49ers was also nearly identical to his snap share in Week 1.
