Packers RB Josh Jacobs managed just 43 yards on 14 carries in the Week 3 win over the Titans. Only one of his runs went for more than six yards. Jacobs had another four carries for 39 yards negated by penalties. It was an even more frustrating game for fantasy owners because No. 2 RB Emanuel Wilson ripped off 85 total yards and a TD on 14 total touches. That was only one fewer touch than Jacobs finished with.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
We wouldn't worry too much about this week's touch split between Jacobs and Wilson. This Packers offense will look much difference once QB Jordan Love is back, likely in Week 4. And remember that Jacobs racked up 48 carries with three targets over the first two games of the season.
Expect the carries to come down but the targets to rise with Love back.
Jacobs still looks like a borderline RB1 going forward. He does get a tough Vikings defense in Week 4, but that's followed by a couple of excellent matchups against the Rams and Cardinals.
Other Winners & Losers
This was a nice showing from Wilson, although we wouldn't expect him to be a standalone fantasy option once the Packers' pass rate shifts back up with Love.
That said, Wilson is the clear-cut No. 2 RB in Green Bay with RB Marshawn Lloyd in IR. That could make Wilson worth stashing as a Jacobs handcuff.
