Panthers HC Dave Canales said Monday the team expects LB Josey Jewell to miss at least one game after leaving Sunday's contest with groin and hamstring injuries.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Jewell's injury occurred in the same game that saw Shaq Thompson suffer a season-ending Achilles' tear. That leaves Carolina with rookie Trevin Wallace and special-teamer Claudin Cherelus as the top non-edge LBs.

Wallace was wearing the green dot and relaying defensive plays after both starters left the Week 4 game. He's the better bet for playing time and fantasy production.

Wallace also looks likely to remain a starter even after Jewell returns to the lineup. He presents at least modest IDP value.
